IMO International Day for Women in Maritime (2022)

The first International Day for Women in Maritime was held May 18 2022.  The proposal to establish an International Day for Women in Maritime was approved by IMO's Technical Cooperation Committee (TC) in September 2021 and subsequently endorsed by the IMO Council in November 2021.  The inaugural IMO International Day for Women in Maritime focused on  "Training-Visibility-Recognition: Supporting a barrier-free working environment”.
